Autumn sunset Geisha

A drawing that took me way muuuuuuuuuuuuuch more than it should have!!!

It features a geisha inspired by those I saw in my trip to Japan back in June '10. I remember I started to draw the sketch on the way to Tokyo from Kyoto.

I wanted it to be warm and autumnesque so I just chose warm colours.

There's a loooot of work behind it since I created the patterns that are used for the Kimono and other garments (so yeah, it’s 100% made by me for better or worseXDDDD). Might upload the patterns later. I used some of the photos I took in Kyoto to draw the trees and the pagoda.

Un dibujillo que me tomó muchííííísimo más tiempo de lo que debería!!!

Es una geisha inspirada por aquellas que vi en mi viaje a Japón allá por junio del año pasado. Recuerdo que empecé el boceto en el tren de Kioto a Tokio.

Quería que fuera cálido y otoñesco así que simplemente escogí colores cálidos.

Hay muuuuuuuucho trabajo detrás ya que todos los motivos que usé en el kimono y otros detalles los hice desde cero (así que sí, está hecho 100% por mí, para bien o para mal). Puede que los suba en algún momento. También me inspiré en las fotos que tomé en Kioto para hacer los árboles y la pagoda.
